20. Complaint against Vikram

CHAPTER 20
Complaint against Vikram

Mahender’s son Vikram was working in a hospital as doctor. Hospital chairman, Ravindranath had come to see brigadier Mahender. Vikram had been accused of harassing nurses and female patients at the hospital. Ravindranath had come to complain about the matter.

Ravindranath said seriously, “Mr. Brigadier, I hope I have not hurt your mind by telling you about your son.”

Sadly, Mahender said, “Doctor Ravidranath, it is good that you told me about it. He has that problem since child hood. I was thinking that he will become ok after marriage and that is why I have spoken to my close friend commando.”

Giving advice, Ranvindranath said, “Sir, as a doctor, I advice you to give psycho treatment to your son. It is better to get him married only after he is mentally alright.”

Shaking his hand, seriously Mahender said, “No. no. that is not necessary. I am sure that he will be perfectly alright after marriage.”

Helplessly and strongly, Ranvindranath said, “As you wish, sir. But I want to tell you one thing. As the chairman of this hospital, I am not ready to keep him as a doctor in my hospital because this is the 4th time such an incident is taking place.”

Mahender was shocked.
Seriously, Ravindranath said, “He keeps attacking all beautiful lady patients. As soon as he sees them alone, he puts his hand on them and then proceeds.”

Mahender put his hand on his head and rubbed his head sadly. Seriously, Ravindranath said, “He was saved because of me. If the case had become public, he would have gone to jail. I don’t know whether you will get him married and start a separate nursing home for him. But as for me, I am going to remove him from the job immediately.”

Doctor got up to leave. “Sorry to have disturbed you. Forgive me. I have to leave now.”

As the doctor sat in his car and left, Mahender stood and watched. He put hand on his head sadly.

Just then his son Vikram came down wearing white suit and a stethoscope. Vikram asked, “Did our hospital chairman leave?”

Looking at his son seriously, Mahender said, “I am ashamed to have you as my son because of what you are doing. How can I move around in public after what has happened? He has dismissed you. He came to tell that only.”

Looking at his father seriously, Vikram said, “That chairman is getting jealous because I am getting a good name as a doctor. That is why he is putting false accusations against and dismissing me.”

Desperately, Mahender said, “I have only one option left. And that is to get you married immediately. Ranjit’s daughter is very beautiful. As soon as you are married, I will open a nursing home for you.”

Vikram got ready to go.
Mahender said, “Don’t go anywhere. Ranjit is coming to talk to you.”

Vikram was standing at the door. He could see Ranjit talking to Ravindranath. “Look, he is already here. He is talking to our hospital chairman.”

Mahender was shocked. He got up. He was worried that Ravindranath might tell about Vikram to Ranjit.

Ranjit entere the house and shook hands with Mahender.
Looking at Vikram, Ranjit said, “Hallo, Vikram, you have left your job at the Global hospitals it seems. Your chairman told me.”

Mahender and Vikram were shocked.
Becoming alert, Vikram said, “Yes. I am joining Care hospital from today.”

Happily, Ranjit said, “Very good. After your marriage, you can open a good nursing home.”

Relaxing, Mahender said, “I was also thinking of the same thing. First he should get married. Let us fix the engagement soon.”

************************
Amrita was lying on her bed dreaming of Siddartha. “Today, I must tell you some how or the other what is in my mind. I must tell you that I love you.”

She looked at her father’s photo kept on the table. She felt a bit shocked thinking of her father. “I must convince my father slowly. But how?”
Then she took out her diary. She had kept the photo of Siddartha inside it. Looking at his photo, she started dreaming about being in his arms.
