The bridegroom in rape case

It was 11pm. Breaking news was appearing on TV. Dr.Vikram was arrested. Ranjit was eating biscuits watching TV. He was shocked to hear the news.

News reporter said, “Dr. Vikram has been arrested for having raped a lady patient in Care hospital.”

Ranjit put his hand on his chest with shock. “Oh my god! Our Vikram.”

News reporter, “Before this also, he was removed from Global hospital for having misbehaved with lady patients. He has made a habit of creating problems when ever he finds lady patients alone. Many patients kept everything secret to save their name. But Rani slapped and pulled him out half naked. He has now been arrested.”

Ranjit thought, “I had planned to make him my son-in-law. Such a big rapist. How horrifying. I must talk to Mahender.”

He tried to contact Mahender but his phone was switched off.            Ranjit was disappointed. “Che! His cell is switched off. I must phone to Care hospital and find out about the real facts.”

Ranjit called the Care hospital where Vikram was working.

“Hallo, Dr. Ravinder, I am Ranjit talking. That doctor Vikram…”

At the Care Hospital, Dr.Ravinder said on phone, “I am sorry. He has raped a patient. Even while he was in Global hospital, he had attacked 4 or 5 patients it seems. But the case was never made public.”

Ranjit put his hand on his chest with shock. “Oh my god!”

Doctor Ravinder said, “Mr. Ranjit, we are lucky that his character opened before he married you daughter. Otherwise her life would have been spoilt. God saved her.”

Ranjit put the phone down and went to Amrita’s room. But Amrita was fast asleep. Then he looked at god’s photo on the table and took it in his hand and thought, “Yes. You saved her from the terrorists and also from that rapist.”

Ranjit kept the photo back on the table. He saw a diary on the table. Siddartha’s photo was inside the diary. Ranjit took the photo in his hand and turned it. He was shocked to see what was written behind the photo. ‘I lost you because of my dad”. Ranjit was shocked. He looked at his daughter sadly. Then he kept the photo back inside the diary.

Ranjit thought sadly, “My rashness and anger has lead to such a disaster. I mistook Siddartha. He is a real champion. I can now understand your mind.”
