27. Ranjit is the interviewer

CHAPTER 27
Ranjit is the interviewer

Siddartha entered the Interview hall. He was shocked to see Ranjit as the interviewer. Siddartha sat down seriously and handed over his file. Ranjit looked at the file once and then he looked at Siddartha.

Ranjit said seriously, “Mister, discipline is very important if you want to join this job.”

Confidently, Siddartha said, “Ask me what ever you want, sir. I will answer all your questions.”

Ranjit said seriously, “What should I ask a person who does not know the preliminary discipline, tell me? Whoever comes in, should first salute to me. Then sit only after I have given the permission.”

Siddartha stared at him shocked. “After seeing you, I did not feel like saluting, sir.”

Seriously, Ranjit said, “Sorry. I am not in a state to ask you any questions. You may go now.”

Seriously pointing to Ranjit, Siddartha said, “I stood no.1 in all. See my file.”

Ranjit looked at Siddartha carelessly.

Siddartha pointed to his file seriously. “How can you reject me without asking me even a single question?”

Coolly and with neglect, Ranjit said, “Ah! You are state champion in shooting. You came first in all physical tests.”
Pointing to the file, Ranjit said, “But this post requires will power and fire because you will be fighting the terrorists.”

Seriously, Siddartha said, “Give me any test you feel like. If you want, I am even ready to jump into fire.”

Seriously, biting his teeth, Ranjit said, “Yesterday, when I kicked you like a football in the academy ground at that time itself I realized.”

Siddartha was shocked to hear this.

Clicking his fingers and pointing to him, Ranjit said, “If you had hit me back, I would have handed you the appointment order now itself.”

Siddartha stared at Ranjit with great shock.

Shaking his hand carelessly, Ranjit said, “You don’t have the necessary guts. You are a waste for this post. Please get out.”

Siddartha showed his punch angrily. “If I had hit you back that day, you would not have been here to conduct this interview today.”

Ranjit was shocked to hear this. He looked at Siddartha seriously.

Pointing to the commando dress, Siddartha said, “You were saved by that commando dress you are wearing and your daughter. Your time is getting over anyway. Only two more years of service are left. I still have time and age. I will wait and definitely make my dream come true.”
Siddartha went out. Ranjit stared at him seriously biting his teeth as he left.

Before climbing on to this bike, looking at the office, sadly, Siddartha thought, “You have broken my dream of becoming a commando into pieces. As soon as I touched your daughter, you put a full stop to my future just because you have the power in your hand. My time to put a full stop to you will come one day. Just see.”
