CHAPTER 33
Afzal is arrested
Ranjit went to the soda shop and asked for
soda. The owner, Karim cut a lemon and prepared soda. Just then 4 men arrived
and asked for soda. Owner Karim was scared on seeing them. 5 more men arrived
and removed their guns. Ranjit entered the shop and went up the stairs with his
men.
Ranjit kicked the door of the room and entered the room. Fighting started.
Police jeeps arrived and police surrounded up the place. The big
international terrorist Afzal was arrested.
The breaking news appeared on TV and news papers. TV news reporter
said, “The most cruel anti-national and the cause for the death of thousands of
innocent people in our country, Afzal has been caught by our commando Ranjit.”
A few arrest scenes are shown on TV.
Ranjit was standing with Maula and Jamir.
TV interviewer said, “Now let us see what our commando has to say.”
In TV interview, Ranjit said, “The main clue for catching such a big
anti-national was given by an ordinary boy.”
Putting his hand on Jamir, Ranjit said, “This boy, Jamir. I congratulate
him and appoint him as a constable in my department.”
Going near Maula and doing namaskara, Ranjit said, “Neither I nor the
people of this country will ever forget the help you have rendered. You are the
real desha bhakta.”
Siddartha was
watching TV with Rana in academy office. He got very angry and also sad. “Sir, I want to tell you one truth today.”
He pointed to the TV. “He is the one who failed me purposely in the oral
interview.”
Rana was shocked. Siddartha told Rana what had happened during the oral
test with Ranjit. He told him how Ranjit had failed him without asking a single
question.
Rana was shocked and sad. “I never thought that he will take such a small
incident so seriously. He has committed a great injustice.”
Jamir came on TV again and again. This hurt Siddartha very much. Looking
at Rana sadly, Siddartha said, “Just watch, sir. Today he is patting the back
of that boy who was ready to become a human bomb for the sake of money and has
given him a job in his department.”
Pointing to the TV, Siddartha asked, “Am I worse than that boy?”
Patting Siddartha’s back, Rana said, “Cool down. Your time will come.
Don’t think too much.”
Seriously, tightening his face, Siddartha said, “Time will come, sir.
Definitely it will come. Tit for tat. Mine will have double effect.”
