CHAPTER 42
Praise for
Siddartha
Amrita was sitting with Sneha and Rana in the
office.
Patting Siddartha on the back, Rana said happily, “You have done a great
job. You are not just a shooting champion. You are a hero for our nation. I am
proud of you.”
Siddartha laughed and said, “Sir, it is all with your blessings. You
taught me to shoot. This saved Amrita’s life.”
Amrita took hold of Siddartha’s hand and looked at him with love.
“You are great. I am here all because of you. I don’t know how to thank
you.”
Looking into Amrita’s eyes with love, Siddartha said, “You don’t need to
thank me. Our friendship is of that type.”
Looking into his eyes, Amrita thought, “Because of my father, you have
limited our relationship to just friendship and put a wall between us. But I
love you deeply.”
Sneha was excited. “Today evening I am giving a party to celebrate your
heroism.”
Siddartha smiled coolly. “No need to have any party today, because next
week I must attend the national shooting championship. I can’t miss my daily
practice.”
Looking into Siddartha’s eyes with excitement and pressing his hand,
Amrita said, “I that case, after you become a national champion, we will have
double party. One from Sneha and one from me for having saved me and for having
become the national champion.”
All raised their thumbs. Siddartha laughed and nodded.
