35. Siddartha’s feelings

CHAPTER 35
Siddartha’s feelings

Siddartha was getting ready for the championship. He was doing shooting practice.
Rana was standing near him. “All India level championship is going to start next week.”

Shooting a few more rubber bullets at the target, Siddartha said happily and confidently, “That is why sir, I am practicing daily. This time I have to become the All India shooting champion.”

Confidently, patting his back, Rana said, “You are the best bet. I am sure that you will be the winner.”

Looking at Rana with love and respect, Siddartha said, “With your blessings, I am sure that I will be the All India champion.”
Tightening his body with sadness, he said, “If that Ranjit did not cheat me, I would have represented as a task force commando. I am unlucky. He cheated me, sir. That Ranjit.”

Rana observed Siddartha silently and sadly.

Billal arrives

Bilal had arrived in India. He was sitting with Madani, Jilani and other men.

Bilal said seriously, “I could not arrive on the day I promised. I found it very difficult to cross the Indian border from Bangladesh. I came to Kolkatta and climbed on a lorry to come here. Other than water, I did not eat anything. Do you know why? I have decided not to eat till I get Afzal released.”

Seriously and angrily, Jilani said, “Bhaiyya, our man is working in the jail. According to him, that Ranjit is sucking Afzal’s blood and twisting his body.”

Bilal was biting his teeth angrily and moving from one end of the room to another. His men sat silently looking at him.
Bilal said seriously, “I will drink that Ranjit’s blood. Just watch. That bastard.”

Looking at Madani, Bilal asked, “Did you get details about his background?”

Seriously, Madani said, “Yes bhiayya. Ever since, he became a commando two years ago, he has encountered 20 jihadis, killed 15 jihadis in jail giving 4th grade treatment and made their dead bodies disappear. Out of 10 people he catches, only one reaches the court. Remaining 9 are sent up.”

Bilal was very angry. “Haram kor, that saitan, that commando Ranjit”

All watched him egar to hear what he was going to say.

Spitting fire, Bilal said, “Time has come to send him up. When I get my hands on him, I will bite him like a mad dog and kill him. But first we have to get Afzal released.”

Going near Madani, Bilal asked seriously, “How many children does he have?”

Angrily, Madani said, “Only one daughter, Amrita, who has just completed college.”

Bilal nodded.
Madani continued, “She goes for jogging early morning. In the evening she goes for shooting practice.”

Bilal clicked his fingers. “Very good. You have given me good news. If we put a point there, Afzal will come out automatically.”
