CHAPTER 36
Amrita is kidnapped
Amrita was jogging early in the morning in the
ground. To her surprise, Siddartha had also come there. He was doing exercises.
Going near Siddartha, Amrita said, “Hallo, Siddartha, have you come for
jogging?”
Siddartha said, “All India level championship will take place next week.
I have come to loosen my body for that.”
Amrita nodded. Siddartha said, “After jogging, I have to go for shooting
practice.”
Siddartha continued his body exercises. Amrita watched him romantically.
With surprise, Amrita said, “Looks like you are not just a shooting champion
but also expert in body exercises.”
Siddartha laughed and showed her some more exercises. “My aim is not just
to be a shooter. But I have learnt karat also.”
Showing Kung-fu poses, Siddartha said, “I am black belt in kung-fu and I
am yoga expert also.” He showed her some yoga poses also. Amrita was most
impressed.
Looking at Amrita, Siddartha asked, “Do you know why I learnt all this?”
Amrita looked at him questioningly, Siddartha said, “To become a
commando.”
Sadly, Amrita said, “If that one incident had not taken place, I would
have told my father and got you selected.”
Seriously, Siddartha said, “I want to become a commando only because of
my talent and not because of influence.”
Amrita was impressed by his words.
Pointing to her, Siddartha said, “Just watch. As soon as your father
retires, I will become a commando.”
Showing thumbs up signal, Siddartha said, “This is my Challenge.”
Amrita felt sad. She thought, “I know. My father cheated you. Sneha told
me.”
At the same time, 5, 6 people wearing monkey caps and jogging dress came
to the ground and started jogging. They passed by Amrita. She was shocked to
see them. She told Siddartha, “New people I think. I am seeing them in this
ground for the first time.”
Siddartha was doing sit ups. He got up and looked at the men in monkey
caps. Then he turned to look at Amrita and said, “This is a big city. Like an
ocean. So many people come and go.”
He continued to do dips.
Amrita stood looking at him for a while. Then she said, “I will go for a
round of jogging. See you later.”
Siddartha nodded and continued with his dips.
Amrita went for jogging. One monkey cap fellow turned to look back. Seeing
Amrita jogging, the monkey cap men slowed down.
Amrita passed them. They followed her jogging. At a turning point, a
Sumo was parked. When they all come to the turning, the men moved in high speed
and caught hold of her.
Shocked, Amrita shouted loudly. “Siddartha.”
As Siddartha tuned to look at her, the men put their hand on her mouth
and carried her away. They put her in the Sumo. The Sumo moved away in high
speed. Siddartha was shocked. He
immediately climbed on to the bike and followed the Sumo.
The Sumo went to a forest area in the outskirts of the city. Siddartha
also entered the forest area. Suddenly the bike stopped. Siddartha removed his cell.
But it was off. He was shocked. “Oh my god. No petrol in bike. Even my cell is
out of charge. How shall I save her now?”
The Sumo was moving over
the hill towards an old building on top of the hill.
Siddartha looked at the
Sumo desperately. “Kidnappers or terrorists. God knows what they will do to her
if I do not go. I have to save her some how.”
He left the bike and started running up the hill.
Sumo stopped outside an old house. The men carried Amrita inside. She had
plaster over her mouth.
Pheroz phoned to Bilal. “Dada, we have kidnapped her. What is the next
step?”
Bilal was sitting in the compound of a house near Masjid. He was very
happy to get the good news. He said seriously, “Good. You have done a good job.
Call her father with a satellite cell. I will make my demand using the TV
channel. Using her, we will get Afzal released.”
One man held a gun at Amrita’s head. She was very scared. Pheroz looked
at her and said, “I will not hurt you. We just want to get Afzal out of jail
using you. When he comes out, you can go home. Otherwise whatever your father
does to him in jail, we will do to you here.”
