The marriage Invitation

Siddartha and Reshmi entered Rana’s office. They kept their marriage invitation card on the table in front of Rana. Rana picked it up and started looking at it.

Smiling, Siddartha asked, “How is the invitation card, sir?

Looking at the invitation card, Rana said, “Your photos have come out so nice. God bless you.”

Siddartha said happily, “Still 2 days are left for the marriage. I am making all arrangements with the help of my friends.”

Rana smiled. “By the way, give one invitation to Ranjit also.” 

Hearing the name of his enemy, Siddartha got very angry. Seriously, with tension, Siddartha said, “Sorry sir. I don’t have the mind to give him one. I hate him.”

Giving advice, Rana said coolly, “You must forget everything.”

Looking at Rana with sadness, Reshmi said, “How can he forget, sir? He hit him in front of so many people, it seems. He keeps remembering it at least once every day and feels bad.”

Rana looked at her and said, “As you wish. Only two days are left for the marriage. I am sure you have a lot to do without getting tense about Ranjit.”

After talking with Rana for a while, Siddartha and Reshmi came out of the office.

Siddartha said to Reshmi, “I have invited Sneha and Amrita to the ice parlor. Let us give them the invitation cards there.”

Reshmi nodded happily.

Siddartha, Reshmi, Amrita and Arvind were sitting in the Ice cream parlor. Waiter kept ice cream in front of them.

Giving invitation card to Amrita, Siddartha said, “When it comes to friendship, you are closer to me than Arvind. You must come to my marriage.”

Amrita looked at the invitation card with pain and sadness. She was very sad to see Reshmi’s photo on the invitation card.

Amrita thought, “I should have been in the place of Reshmi.”

Smiling, Siddartha said, “The auspicious time is at 5:30 early morning. Please don’t miss.”

Amrita nodded looking at Siddartha in spite of the sadness.

Giving card to Sneha, Siddartha said, “Sneha, you too should not miss.”

Sneha smiled and said, “How can we miss? We will be present at 5 am itself.”

FLASH BACK ENDED.

Amrita came out of her thoughts and entered the house.

Siddartha was riding the bike. He thought, “If Reshmi has to survive, this Ranjit has to die. School function is the best place to put a point.”

Amrita entered her bedroom. Looking at the invitation card, she felt very sad. She took out Siddartha’s photo from diary. Putting her hand on Reshmi’s photo in the invitation card, Amrita said sadly, “I should have been in this place. I introduced her to him and she cheated me.”

She took a pass port size of hers and pasted it over Reshmi’s photo. She started dreaming about getting married to Siddartha. Suddenly she saw Reshmi hugging Siddartha. Amrita got very angry and started fighting with Reshmi. She pulled Siddartha away from Reshmi. But Reshmi pulled him back. Suddenly she heard a loud sound outside and came out of her dreams. Thinking about the dream, Amrita laughed at herself.
