CHAPTER 8
Ranjit meets officers
In police task force office serious meeting was
going on. Intelligence officers, police officers and staff were eagerly
listening to Commando Ranjit’s speech.
Seriously, Ranjit said, “All of you have to be very alert. You have to
keep an eagle eye especially on the people moving in bazaar centers, temple
points, MG road, Airport, seashore, IT centers because according to the
information from IB, international terrorist Bilal has entered India from
Bangladesh. There are chances of terrorist blasts tomorrow in many parts of the
country. You must remain alert in your points and keep giving me information
every now and then.”
He got up and went to his chamber.
Secretry brought files and kept them in front of him.
Looking at the secretary, Ranjit said, “There is circle inspector’s
meeting in IT center. Ask everyone to attend. What is my next program?”
Looking at the diary, secretary said, “City rounds, sir. Anderi, Santa
Cruz, Bandra area roundup. From 1:30 to 2pm, you are the chief guest in blind
school. 2:30 pm, meeting with HM. Then city rounds again.”
Ranjit was disturbed. “In this tight schedule of red alert, I wonder why
I agreed to that blind school function.”
Secretary also was disturbed. “Sir, blind school principal has already
phoned three times since morning. If you say no, I will immediately call up and
cancel the program.”
Ranjit was shocked. “No, no. I must attend. Blind children. I am lucky to
get the chance to be their chief guest. Don’t cancel it.”
