Siddartha goes to meet Ranjit

Ranjit was with commando Ramdev in Bandra city police head quarters office.

Ranjit said seriously, “Today, tomorrow, the sleeper’s category will be very active and there are chances of bomb blasts taking place.”

Intelligence officer Ramdev said, “Sir, according to the information we received, one person purchased 50 cookers from Mehta enterprises. Also, the same person has purchased whole sale 50 cell phones from Big C mobile shop.”

Ranjit was shocked. “That means there are chances of cooker explosions taking place. We have to be most careful. Do you know the person who made the purchase?”

Ramdev said, “I have prepared a sketch according the information given by the shop owners. We have also received a film recorded by close circuit camera in the shop.”

Surprised, Ranjit asked, “Where is it?”

Pointing to a computer in the room, Ramdev said, “Sir, in our computer.”

At that time Siddartha entered the office and went to the receptionist.

“I want to see commando Ranjit.”

The receptionist recognized Siddartha, the famous shooter.

“You are no.1 shooter, champion Siddartha, aren’t you?”

Surprised, Siddartha said, “Yes, madam.”

Giving shake hand, Receptionist said, “I am your fan. Commando’s daughter called and said that if you come, I should send you in. one minute, sir.”

She picked up the phone talked to Ranjit. “Sir, champion Siddartha is here.” 

 Inside the office, Ranjit said on phone, “Send him in.”

Receptionist told Siddartha that he can go inside. He went in.

Ramdev was just switching on the computer.  Ranjit welcomed Siddartha with a smile and asked him to sit down.

Siddartha sat down on a chair in front of Ranjit.

Ranjit said, “Amrita had called and told me that you will be coming to meet me.”

Siddartha extended an invitation card to Ranjit. “Tomorrow is my marriage, sir. I have come for your blessings.”

Looking at the card, Ranjit said, “Very good pair. You have put your photos on the invitation card. Really you are made for each other.”

Sincerely, Siddartha said, “Sir, you must come for the marriage.”

Looking at the Card, Ranjit said, “The marriage is at 5:30 am. It is a very auspicious time. It comes only once in 10 years. I am having another important work at the same time. I must be there. But my daughter, Amrita will come to your marriage, don’t worry.”

Siddartha got up to leave.     

Immediately, Ranjit said, “Wait. Have coffee before leaving.”

Siddartha sat down.

Looking at Ramdev, Ranjit said, “Mr. Ramdev, order one round of coffee for us all.”

Ramdev had picked up the invitation card and was looking at it. He nodded looking at Ranjit.

When Siddartha reached home; he was shocked to see the door of his house open. He parked his bike and entered the house. A new CD was lying on the floor.

Siddartha took the CD and put it in the player. There was a video of terrorists torturing Reshmi. She was tied up. Terrorists had mask over their face. One man was holding her hair and pulling it. Reshmi was crying with pain. Siddartha was distressed and sad to see this.

Looking at the camera, Reshmi cried, “Siddartha, please save me.”

Siddartha immediately tried her number.

In the old house, Bilal picked up the call.

Siddartha said seriously on phone, “I have told you, have I not that I will kill that Ranjit? Why are you torturing her?”

Bilal was in an angry mood. “This video is just a reminder for you. Every moment is important. We will keep torturing your girl till you finish our job.”

He looked at the time. “Already it is one o’clock.”

Siddartha said with confidence, “Just watch. Before 2 pm, his dead body will fall. You will come to know of the new on TV.”

Bilal was watching TV news. “I will be watching the TV news. If the news does not appear at 2pm, your Reshmi will be dead.”

Siddartha said, “It is a child’s play for me. One bullet is enough. That Ranjit will be spot dead. Don’t do anything to Reshmi.” The call was cut off.

Siddartha loaded his revolver and got ready to leave with determination. It was not difficult for him to kill Ranjit since he hated him so much.
